Who built it, and what they built
Nikhilesh Tayal is an entrepreneur and teacher based in Udaipur, India. He has been building startups since 2011: his first, a mobile recruitment platform called CvBhejo, raised funding and exited, and his second, a video-creation marketplace named Vidsaga, was profitable.
He now runs AI ML etc., an AI-enabled education platform aimed at senior professionals learning AI and Gen AI. He also serves as visiting faculty for Generative AI at institutions including various IITs, NITs, and Oregon State University, and is a Google Developer Expert for AI/ML. His startup journey has been covered by outlets such as the Times of India, Hindustan Times, Economic Times, and Bloomberg TV.
Where the idea came from
Nikhilesh began exploring AI in April 2022, before the ChatGPT wave, but could not find a problem he personally connected with. To clarify his thinking, he wrote LinkedIn articles breaking down AI and LLM concepts in plain language.
Those posts led a college department head to invite him for a guest lecture on LLMs. The talk went well, students referred him to another engineering college, and the Sparklehood community then asked him to speak to its members, who were senior professionals.
Those professionals asked questions like whether AI can be learned without maths, how long it takes, and which topics actually matter for them. After checking the market and finding no courses built for this audience, he decided to create one, betting that companies hiring for senior AI roles would push experienced IT workers to upskill.
