Who built it, and what they built
Manu Arora is a self-taught software engineer based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, who has been building software for over 6 years across mobile apps, websites, HHT devices, and hardware. He learned to code at 18 through YouTube, Udemy, and Googling, and he also runs Aceternity, a solo web development agency designing and building websites for businesses.
The product he loves most is Algochurn, a free platform that helps front-end developers prepare for technical interview rounds, especially machine coding rounds, with a curated set of front-end and algorithmic problems.
Where the idea came from
Early in his career, after graduating from college, Manu sat through many tech interviews and kept failing them.
Looking for help online, he found only blog posts and generic question lists, with no way to practice in a realistic environment or track progress. Because he worked with React and wanted a job in that domain, he decided to build a practice tool for himself: time-bound, real-world questions with hints, resources, bookmarks, and completion tracking.
How they built the first version
The first version was deliberately simple and did not even have a landing page. Manu split it into two parts: algorithmic questions covering commonly asked patterns, and front-end interview questions.
