Who built it, and what they built
Rakesh Nakrani co-founded CodedThemes, a Surat-based company that sells ready-made admin dashboards, UI kits, and landing pages aimed at developers, designers, and businesses. The products are built on widely used frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, Angular, and Vue so buyers can adapt them quickly to their own projects.
The company reports roughly $20K in monthly revenue and says it has served more than 200K customers, naming Vodafone, EA Games, and Stanford University among them. The business panel lists 12 employees and 2 cofounders, with operations starting in August 2017.
Where the idea came from
Rakesh began making web templates in 2013 while working as a UI/UX designer and front-end developer, and he noticed rising demand for pre-built dashboards and interface kits, especially for internal tools, SaaS products, and CRM systems.
By 2015 he was selling through marketplaces like Envato and WrapBootstrap. Sales looked encouraging, but the steep commissions and lack of control over branding pushed him toward opening a store of his own with a curated catalog and a community around it.
He picked admin templates over alternatives like WordPress themes because that niche matched his skills and demand kept climbing. Before committing, he studied marketplace trends and gathered input from developers and existing customers; when CodedThemes opened in August 2017, the early response confirmed the choice.
