Who built it, and what they built
Devjeet Singh founded Conversion Perk, a digital marketing agency based in Mohali, India. He grew up in Purnea, a district in Bihar, and finished his Bachelor of Technology in 2010 before spending close to a decade working at various agencies.
The agency is now recognized as a partner by Google, Amazon, Microsoft Ads, Klaviyo, Semrush, and Hubspot, and third-party sites like Clutch and GoodFirms rate it among the top PPC management agencies in India.
Where the idea came from
The Great Recession of 2008-09 hit just as Devjeet was finishing his education, making it nearly impossible to land a tech internship. On the advice of college seniors, he enrolled in a digital marketing training program instead, where SEO first captured his interest before he immersed himself in every facet of the field.
Over years of agency work, he noticed a recurring gap: most agencies treated digital marketing as a side offering while their real focus was software development and apps. He decided to build a firm where digital marketing was the main story, not a footnote.
“Sometimes, good things come from unexpected places, and for me, the Great Recession became the catalyst for a career I am passionate about.”
