Who built it, and what they built
Debendra Prasad runs two ventures: Creatisoul, an agency that builds websites and handles digital marketing for clients, and AssureShift, a directory that helps people in Delhi and other large Indian cities find professional relocation companies near them.
He has worked in web development, design, digital marketing, and business planning since 2012, and says his goal was to build solutions that remove real obstacles from people's lives.
AssureShift sits between movers and customers: the team checks each company's registration paperwork and track record before its profile goes live. The network now covers roughly 700-800 movers across India, from metro hubs like Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Gurgaon to tier-2 markets such as Thane, Noida, Patna, and Nagpur.
Where the idea came from
Debendra began freelancing in 2012 in West Bengal, doing business planning, site design and development, and online marketing. He relocated to Bangalore in 2014 and set up Creatisoul there, serving clients across a range of sectors including the relocation trade.
While serving moving-industry clients, the team saw how often customers were burned by fake or unprofessional operators. Digging deeper, they concluded the core issue was that no authoritative body existed to police the space, so they decided to build a private one that confirms a mover's legal status before it can reach customers.
AssureShift was built in 2016 and went live in early 2017.
