Who built it, and what they built
Karan Bhardwaj is the founder of ExperientialEtc, an ad-tech agency based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He started the company in 2017 with his long-time friend Prashant Pandey, aiming to shake up innovative advertising.
The agency began with holograms, drone shows, projection mapping, and sensor-based activations, all on-ground formats. It later pivoted toward digital offerings such as augmented reality, virtual reality, virtual conferences, artificial intelligence, and web games.
Where the idea came from
Karan describes himself as an entrepreneur for the last two decades. In 2010 he ran a small advertising firm called Adometer that handled branding on personal vehicles, getting brands to advertise on cars.
That advertising background made the industry the natural first choice for the next venture. The twist the founders wanted was a technology layer, and they bet that introducing holograms in the country would be disruptive — a line of business that still generates revenue for them.
“I believe that if you do something with the right spirit & do it consistently, it’s bound to be successful.”
