Who built it, and what they built
Abhishek A Agrawal is the founder of Integrately and CompanyHub, based in Nasik. The business started in March 2020 and has grown to a team of 20 with one cofounder.
The first product was CompanyHub, a CRM built around the idea that salespeople dislike complex tools. It was designed so users could handle most tasks from a single page, similar to working in a spreadsheet.
Integrately came later as a 1-click integration platform. The premise was that companies need to connect the various apps they rely on, but most integration tools were too complicated for the average user.
Where the idea came from
Abhishek started working with a friend in 2009, initially attempting a static code analysis product without a clear business plan. After about a year, they pivoted to software services, using freelancing platforms to find projects.
The services company grew and moved to a bigger office, but the partners eventually split. Abhishek, who had handled development, struggled with sales until hiring two experienced salespeople. In 2012, he narrowed the company's focus to Salesforce development, which brought stronger growth.
An early product attempt, an email-like tool for resumes, failed because the team lacked domain knowledge in HR and recruitment. That experience shaped a lasting principle about market selection.
“Choose a market that you understand well.”
