Who built it, and what they built
Mayank Jain co-founded Scalenut with Gaurav Goyal and Saurabh Wadhawan, friends of roughly ten years. The company operates from Delhi, India, with a team of 30 people.
The product is a SaaS toolkit that uses AI to support SEO and content marketing work, aimed at small and mid-sized businesses, marketers, and content creators. Its features span the content life cycle, including topic cluster planning, a fast AI blog drafting mode, competitor research and brief building, and an AI copywriting assistant.
Where the idea came from
Each of the three founders had spent about a decade at digital startups across consumer goods and SaaS. Mayank and Gaurav held business leadership roles, while Saurabh was the product leader who turned requirements documents into shipped software.
Over regular catch-ups they brainstormed ideas across pet products, health tech, and chocolate D2C brands before noticing a shared pattern: brands consistently struggled to scale content marketing. When Covid accelerated digitization, they committed to building a platform for that problem.
Their reasoning was that sustainable businesses need large volumes of organic traffic rather than heavy paid acquisition, and the existing tools were fragmented and inadequate for that job.
