Who built it, and what they built
Bharath M founded Healthsols Facilitators Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based supplier of medical equipment and surgical items sold at low prices to hospitals, clinics, diagnostics, and individual doctors. The company also offered online consultations, home nursing, lab sample collection at home, Ayurveda services, and equipment for rent or purchase.
The early months brought in very little money, with some periods producing no revenue at all. Within three months, orders and revenue began to flow, and the team grew to 18 employees spread across 11 cities.
Where the idea came from
Bharath grew up in Suryapet, a small town roughly 100 km from Hyderabad, and completed a pharmacy degree at Nalanda college of pharmacy, Nalgonda in 2012. He describes himself as a below-average student who preferred technical subjects like C++ and HTML over core coursework.
His career began as a pharmacist at the Cloudnine hospital, but boredom pushed him through a string of roles including store manager, e-commerce operations manager, content editor, and procurement manager before settling into sales. While working as a General Manager at a healthcare service facilitator that ultimately failed, he and two ex-colleagues saw a fix for its problems and started a small venture called HealthSols Facilitators with about 3000 INR.
The three partners covered Bengaluru on foot, winning business through doctors, surgical vendors, and small retail shops they already knew. An early attempt to hire two or three salespeople backfired when the new hires produced zero sales for four months, forcing the partners to let them go and restart.
