How a Chennai event design firm booked 150+ events on word of mouth alone

Who built it, and what they built

Charles Bronson founded Believe San Decors, an event planning and design company in Chennai, India. The team has spent four years decorating occasions ranging from weddings and engagements to corporate meetings, baby showers, and baptisms.

The company treats decoration as more than arranging flowers in a hall. It studies each client's preferences and customizes designs to their taste, which matters in a country as religiously diverse as India, where a church wedding calls for a different look than a pavilion ceremony.

That range has brought work from schools, colleges, churches, and even a television channel needing set designs for cultural programs. Named clients include St. Thomas Basilica in Chennai and Stella Maris College, where Charles has also given guest lectures on event management.

Where the idea came from

After graduating in commerce, Charles studied entrepreneurship in Leeds, UK, driven by a wish to build a career with its own identity. Event decoration was not his first venture: he ran a snooker parlor for over a year before starting Believe San Decors.

The idea came from an informal chat with friends rather than a boardroom strategy session. Each person in the room brought a complementary skill, from generating leads to handling electrical work, planning designs, and building sets.
