Who built it, and what they built
Maruti Techlabs is a product development company based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, founded and led by CEO Mitul Makadia. The firm guides SMBs and enterprises through digital transformation, covering rapid application development, process improvement through RPA and AI, and customer support automation with chatbots.
Beyond client work, the company has built and continues to scale two products of its own: WotNot, a chat marketing tool aimed at generating qualified leads and retaining customers without adding headcount, and Alertly, a Slack bot that delivers JIRA alerts to project teams.
Where the idea came from
After graduating, Mitul spent about five years as a Senior Technical Manager at a product engineering company. In 2009 he started Maruti Techlabs together with five friends, landing an initial small assignment from a US-based client who, he notes, remains a client to this day.
“Never stop learning. Be a lifelong learner. Regardless of the role you are in, technology is evolving day in & day out & you don’t want to miss out on that.”
